Yā Qamarūn Yā Jamīl
You take my heart away,
And teach me how to feel...
How to live my life,
And get to God’s light.
Your way is true,
This world is a lie,
Your life is a standard,
And the Lord testified.
Your worship— perfect and serene,
Divinely crafted as a model to be seen.
Your eyes would tear, and your feet would swell,
Crying for us, that we don't go to Hell.
How can I thank you, I can't do enough,
So I ask God to bless you, and in Him I put my trust.
Yā Qamarūn Yā Jamīl
You take my heart away,
And teach me how to feel.
How to live my life,
And get to God's light.
You're perfectly crafted, a figure of pure silver,
The way God shaped you, you're the epitome of Mister.
Mister. Yā Ḥabīb, you're my master.
I'm dying to meet you, why can't this world go by any faster.
Not seeing you, my life is just a disaster.
I don't have the patience to wait until the hereafter.
Yā Ḥabīb Yā Rasūl
Take me by my hand, and walk me to your pool.
A gift from God, so sweet and its touch so cool.
Al-Ḥawḍ, this basin is a jewel.
Flowing from Al-Kawthar, a present from Al-Raʾūf.
Yā Qamarūn Yā Jamīl
You take my heart away,
And teach me how to feel.
How to live my life,
And get to God's light.
Yā Raḥmatalilʿālamīn,
A Name from your Lord,
A Name so pristine.
Your existence is a mercy to be seen.
The way you walked and talked,
It's too perfect for a dream.
The light from your face, is just a shining beam,
And touching your perfect hands,
You're a soft silk ream.
Yā Qamarūn Yā Jamīl
You take my heart away,
And teach me how to feel.
How to live my life,
And get to God's light.
Yā Nabī, Yā Nabī,
Don't you see,
You mean everything to me.
I'd give my life up for thee,
For one moment, an eternity I'd plee.
Please, I beg, wait for me by al-Kawthar-ī
You're the greatest of them all,
With your Lord past the Lote-Tree,
Even the Archangel couldn't see,
But you saw what you saw,
Closer than two bows, locked in a draw,
More closer there's never been,
Your being to Him, is always in awe.
Your character so perfect,
It's a principle in law.
Is there anyone better?
Or even closer? Nah.
Twenty years in,
And I'm still focused on your jaw.
Still focused on your Jaw,
Its curves and your beard,
I can try to mimic,
But yours is flooded with tears.
All a sudden, the angel appeared,
He spoke to you,
By God, you're a man revered.
But when you disappeared,
So did all the light.
Even your companions said,
The city was dark, and nothing in sight.
But you're so perfect, remember the day you came,
Even the sand of the earth smiled with your name.
The sand radiated from you,
And the sun, the same.
I love you Yā Ḥabīb,
There's no lie in my claim!
Yā Qamarūn, Yā Jamīl,
You take my heart away,
And teach me how to feel.
How to live my life,
And get to God's light.
