Sunan of Rain

Two super simple sunnahs of Our Beloved Prophet ﷺ when it would rain:

  1. ʿĀʾishah [rḍA] said that He ﷺ would say “Allāhumma ṣayyiban nāfiʿā” “Oh Allāh, make it pour fruitfully and abundantly”.1
  2. اللَّهُمَّ اصَيِّباً انَافِعاً

  3. Anas [rḍA] said that when he ﷺ would feel the rain fall on his blessed beard ﷺ, he ﷺ would uncover some part of his body [arms, upper back], so that the fresh rain would touch his blessed skin ﷺ. When asked why he ﷺ did this, he would respond saying “li annahu ḥadīthu ʿahdin bi-rabbihi” “because it’s fresh [rain] from it’s Lord”.2
  4. لِأَنَّهُ احَدِيثُ اعَهْدٍ ابِرَبِّهِ
