There are those whom we see walking on the earth beside us. But the angels find their hearts clinging to the sweetest spot of al-Madīnah in a never-ending hum of “Allāhumma ṣalli wa sallim ʿalā ʿabdika wa ḥabībka wa rasūlika al-nabiyyi al-ummiyy wa ʿalā ālihi wa ṣaḥbih”.

Who We Are

We are simply those who yearn to be considered from the legendary few who were honored by having the status of serving [khidmah] The Messenger ﷺ. The likes of ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd [rḍA], Anas ibn Mālik [rḍA], Rabīʿah ibn Kaʿb [rḍA], and Our Pure Honorable Mother, ʿĀʾishah [rḍA]. Their every waking moment was spent at the service of The Pride of Humanity ﷺ. Pleased by the simple acts of bringing their most beloved ﷺ his toothstick [miswāk], wuḍūʾ water, or to even wait outside of his blessed door ﷺ awaiting to put his sandals on for him ﷺ; thus being graced by the most perfect feet ever created by God. Although we are no longer able to physically serve him ﷺ like they did [rḍA], we hope to be in his noble service ﷺ by teaching and carrying on his sweet-beautiful legacy ﷺ.

Because our salawāt is personally presented to The Prophet ﷺ, we should try our best to send our ṣalāh to him ﷺ with as much love and heartfelt emotion as possible. The more beautiful we make our praises of him ﷺ, the happier he’ll be with us!

My Dears, My Loves!
I’ve been waiting so long to meet you
And how could I not, knowing your desire to meet me too?
“Servants of the Beloved” your group was called
With my Shamāʾil and Sīrah, your hearts were enthralled
You sat and you learned, you thought and you cried
You walked in broken, and came out purified
These are my hands you so longingly desired
Here, drink from them, taste the sweetness God Himself inspired
These are my eyes you so passionately craved
Stare into them, please, we can do this all day
These are my feet you so ardently dreamed
Walk with me, but first, please help me with my sandals
You called me your Beloved, but little do you know
You are my beloved, always, and forever more
Khādimah Ḥabīb al-Samāʾ wa al-Arḍ
Our love for you is why we gather,
Ḥabīb Allāh, our hearts you shatter.
Blessings on you is all we speak of,
Looking at you is all we dream of.

Your love and praise our hearts do hover,
To be for you, a one true lover.
Our lives for you, we have given up,
Hoping and dreaming, our eyes stuck shut.

We love you, we love you— Yā Rasūl,
O please, we beg, for drink at your pool.
Quenched forever, not by drink inside,
But your hands we taste, in them we cried.

Your perfect looks, is all that we read,
Your way, your life is all that we need.
Angels of God come down when we say,
Our Lord, Ṣalli wa sallim ʿalayh.

Mercy is all that is spread around,
Angels of God, from heavens to ground.
Breezes of love, we do find from you,
Kisses from you; our dreams, please, come true.

  • His Light

When I saw his light, shining out and bright,
    — I covered my eyes with my palms, afraid for my sight.
Out of fear for my eyes, from his perfect figure,
    — I didn’t look at him, except for a moment— I figure.
In the form of the moon, a being of light,
    — A jewel weaved out of stars, shining ever so bright.

  • Infatuation

    I have this desire that drives me without hesitation;
    — Poems for Muḥammad have set sail out of infatuation.
    It seems as if my poems praise Muḥammad;
    — Rather I praise by my poems with the mention of Muḥammad.
    The honor of the tongue lies in the mention of my Master, Aḥmad;
    — Only through his mention does anxiety end, and we become guided.
Our Beloved has ordered: Go and repeat:
    — My Lord! Bless The Beloved Muḥammad!

    — But I fell ill due to my worry about him [ﷺ].
So The Beloved [ﷺ] took care of me during my illness,

  • Forehead

  • Perfection

It is he whose meaning and form attained perfection,
    — Then the Maker of Souls chose his as The Beloved.
He is exalted above having a match in his perfection,
    — The undivided essence of all beauty.
    ʿAllāmah al-Buṣīrī [rḥ]
  • Praises

I consider all praise of the Prophet inadequate,
    — Even if his praises are extensive and far-reaching;
When Allāh praises him with what he merits,
    — What worth is the praise given to him by man?
    Ibn al-Fāriḍ [rḥ]

    — Hum nein mānā kei ḍurūr hein
Magar Jannat merā dil kā ṭawwāf kar
    — Kein ismein huḍūr rehtein hein

Paradise, within you are Beauitful Maidens and Servents,
    — And we have accepted that to be true.
But Paradise, maybe come look around my heart,
    — Because The Messenger ﷺ is in there.
